Mono (Japanese band)

Mono is a Japanese post-rock band that was founded in 2000 in Tokyo.

History

Guitarist Takaakira Goto began in 1999 in order to write songs for their implementation, he sought musicians, which he found with Tamaki, Yasunori Takada and Yoda. Yoda was previously friends with Goto, but did not know that Yoda was playing guitar. Published After a debut EP on the small Japanese label Forty- four mono 2001, her debut album, Under the Pipal Tree in the New Japan series by John Zorn's label Tzadik Records. The two studio albums, Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag flood Registered and the Sun Shined and You Are There were recorded with Steve Albini, the band would continue to work. Style

Mono's music is exclusively instrumental. Initially, the band was heavily influenced by his own account of Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine, but was also associated with Mogwai and Godspeed You!
