Moon Madness is the fourth studio album by British progressive rock band Camel. It was released in 1976 on Decca Records.

Creation and publication

After The Snow Goose well-known saxophonist Mel Collins was recruited as a new member. He looked around but rather as a session musician. This band consisted only of Moon Madness, as the bassist Doug Ferguson after this album left the band.

Moon Madness was recorded in early 1976 at London's Basing Street Studios and published in the same year on LP. A CD version was launched in 1983. In the years 2002 and 2009 remastered versions were released with bonus tracks.

Style

After the experimental concept album The Snow Goose Moon Madness, was also allegedly under pressure from the record company, a quieter and massentauglicheres album.
