Peter Bardens

Peter Bardens ( born June 19, 1945 in London, England; † January 22, 2002 in Malibu, California ) was a British rock musician ( keyboards) and singer who became famous with the band Camel.

Barden began his musical career with the band " Cheynes ". For a short time he played with Them. In 1966, he led the " Peter B's ", with Mick Fleetwood on drums and Peter Green on guitar. They recorded the single If You Wanna Be Happy, but were then integrated into Shotgun Express with Rod Stewart.

Then Barden played at The Love Affair and founded the band Village. In 1970 he released his first solo album, The Answer, in which he was assisted by Peter Green and Andy Gee. The second album Peter Bardens, with Victor Brox Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, is considered balanced.

In 1972, Barden's Camel. Andy Latimer was a member of the band. Both brought out some classic albums of progressive rock along with Camel. When the two heads of the group but divided, Bardens left the band and Latimer was permanent, sole Camel boss. In the second half of the 1970s he again took on solo albums. In 1994 he founded Mirage with his former bandmates Andy Ward and Dave Sinclair. In 1987 he succeeded to the maxi-single " In Dreams " an international chart success ( D # 32).

Peter Bardens died in January 2002 from lung cancer. His grave is at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, California. Most recently, Bardens and Latimer again approached gradually.
