Morgan Arritola

Morgan Arritola ( born May 13, 1986 in Bend ) is an American cross-country skier.

Arritola occurred in January 2005 in a race of the Nor -Am Cup at Soldier Hollow first time in an international race. At the Junior World Championships in March of the year in Rovaniemi she finished in 25th place in the double tracking and the 36th in the 5 km individual race. After she had Nor -Am competition at the beginning of winter 2005/ 06 only to a cup in Fairbanks, she could win the USMeisterschaften at Soldier Hollow Silver 15 and 10 km. At the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Kranj they could only occupy positions at the rear of the field. In the season 2006/ 07 she took part in several of the Continental Cup Nor -Am Cup and the U.S. Super Tour. They could occupy multiple places in the top five. However, at the U.S. Championships in January 2007 Houghton she missed a single digit result. A month later she was inducted into the World Cup season in Davos. She then participated in several Alpine Cup race, with a 13th place in Oberstdorf their best result remained. In March 2007, she took part in the U23 World Championships in Tarvisio, where she took a 23rd and 25th place. At season's end, she still went to two races in the U.S. Super Tour.

In winter 2007/ 08 Arritola almost stepped on only race in North America. In mid-December she was able to win a race in the U.S. Super Tour at Soldier Hollow. At the U.S. Short Track Championships in January in Houghton, she took over 10 km in third place. Shortly after, she took in the Canadian Canmore for the first time at a World Cup individual race part. With the 24th place she was able to win at first World Cup points. The only race of the season in Europe, they played at the U23 World Cup in times where they took a 11th and 18th place. In early February 2008, she participated in the Canadian Championships in Whistler, but missed as the fourth over 5 km the podium just barely. End of the season was the win at the U.S. Long Distance Championships in Fairbanks, both in the double tracking as well as over 30 km of silver.

After she had once participated in several Continentalcuprennen at the beginning of the 2008/09 season, she took in mid-January at the World Cup in Whistler, where she won more World Cup points. In the following U-23 World Championships in Praz de Lys she could in two races that she participated in, achieve a place in the top 8. After she started in another World Cup in Valdidentro, she participated in Liberec at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009. After she had missed rankings among the best thirty, 10 km individual race and in the double prosecution, was a 22nd place in the 30 km freestyle race their best World Cup result. In the relay, they finished together with Kikkan Randall, Elizabeth Stephen and Caitlin Compton on the 14th and penultimate rank. In the 2009/10 season she appeared regularly on the World Cup.
