The Mornos (Greek Μόρνος, also Dafnous Δαφνούς or Ylethos Ύλαιθος, ancient Greek Hylaithos Ὕλαιθος ) is an approximately 70 km long river in Greece. It runs in the region of Central Greece and flows through the Regional District Phocis.

The Mornos rises on the southern flank of the massif Iti and initially flows south through the hill country of Phocis in a valley landscape, which is formed by the mountains and mountain ranges of Giona, Iti, Ori Lidorikiou and Vardousia. At his previous pivoting in the aforementioned valley landscape to the west, east of the village Lidoriki, the Mornos the shape of an X is dammed to Mornos reservoir which viewed from the air has.

After Mornos reservoir of Mornos initially flows west and then turns towards the southwest from his mouth delta, which covers an area of 25 km ². The water of the Mornos - especially that of the Mornos reservoir - is used for the water supply of Greater Athens. For this purpose, the water lying in the west of Mornos river Evinos is redirected to the Mornos since the beginning of the 21st century through a tunnel system.
