Morrinsville

Morrinsville is a town in the Waikato region on New Zealand's North Island. It lies about 33 km east of Hamilton and 22 km west of Te Aroha near the banks of the Piako River. She had the Census 2001 6.165 inhabitants, an increase of 4.5% since 1996.

Morrinsville is one of three most important centers of settlement in New Zealand dairy farming region. The area around the city is sometimes referred to as one of the most intensively farmed areas in the world. This was the slogan of " cream of the country" ( " the cream of the country" ) was developed. The city is named after Samuel and Thomas Morrin. These were early settlers and had bought the land and founded the town to house their farm workers.

In Morrinsville is the connection of the Waitoa Industrial Line to the East Coast Main Trunk Line. This railway line runs through the city, today there are, however, no mass transit trains that stop in the city.
