Moshe Maya

Moshe Maja (Hebrew משה מאיה; born August 3, 1938 in Petah Tikva ) is an Israeli rabbi and former politician.

Life

He received his semicha as a rabbi and served as such in Yad Eliyahu in Tel Aviv. He was Shas Knesset member from 1992 to 1996. Moreover, he was Deputy Minister of Education in 1992 to 1993. Maja is currently Shas Council of Torah Sages. He leads the Zikron Moshe Jeschhiwa in Tel Aviv.
