Moulder Peak

Moulder Peak is a summit of Liberty Hills in West Antarctica. The 1860 meter high elevation is about 4.6 km north of the Sponholz Peak and 5.5 km south-east of Mount Rosenthal, on the west side of Horseshoe Valley.

The peak was in 1966 appointed by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names, in memory of Andrew Burl Moulder. Moulder, a member of the United States Navy with the rank of Storekeeper Second Class, had been stationed at about 685 miles east of nearby Amundsen -Scott South Pole Station. He was born on February 14, 1966 in an accident on the South Pole station killed.
