Sponholz Peak

Sponholz Peak is a summit of Liberty Hills in West Antarctica. The 1730 meter high elevation is about 4.6 km south of the Moulder Peak on the west side of Horseshoe Valley.

The peak was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names by Martin P. Sponholz, a meteorologist of the United States Antarctic Program, working station during the winter of 1966 on the American research station platform.
