Mr. & Mrs. '55 is a Hindi comedy film directed by Guru Dutt from the year 1955.
Action
Preetam, a cartoonist, the 20 -year-old Anita meets at a tennis match, where she is watching her favorite star. Unfortunately, she soon has a problem: you inherit seven million. But the money she gets only on her 21st birthday, but only if she is married by then. Your aunt, Sita Devi, a fighter for women's rights, it does not fit. Sita is very suspicious towards men, but the legacy they do not want to do without. Therefore, she seeks her niece a husband who marries Anita and then again separates from it, which is possible under the new law.
Sita comes to Preetam, unaware that he is in love with Anita. Anita discovered at the registry office that her lover has in this marriage, her aunt will let in and no longer wants to see him after marriage. Preetam but kidnaps her and takes her to his brother's house.
In this house, Anita befriends Preetams sister and sees how does a traditional Indian wife and learns to appreciate it.
Preetam is worried that Anita does not love him and accelerates the divorce, by signing the divorce papers falsely. Heartbroken, he left Bombay. Only now she realizes her feelings for Preetam and does a hurry on the way to the airport. Finally, the couple is reunited.
