MRS Logística

The MRS Logistica S. A. is a company incorporated in 1996, Brazilian railroad company.

The route network comprises 1643 km and extends between the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo. The rail company MRS Logistica has concessions for rail transport and thus operates in southeastern Brazil Freight belongs to the route network Rede Ferroviária Federal. In this region, today about 65 % of the total Brazilian freight volumes are moved here and the biggest industrial complexes in the country are located. The network has direct connections to the ports of Rio and Santos ( the largest port in South America ) and Sepetiba near Rio de Janeiro. The company focuses on the transport of cargo in containers and transport of ore and finished steel products. It offers integrated logistics services designed to reduce the transit time of goods. MRS and the parent company CSN are active in all segments of intermodal transport and transport logistics. This one works with the latest techniques in rail transport.

MRS freight - express trains

The rail company MRS is now majority owned by the steel producer CSN Comp. Sider. Nacional in Volta Redonda. The railway lines and trains the MRS operate virtually all segments of the freight transport and here in particular the intermodal transport of steel products and standard containers. It offered solid express trains with scheduled departures.
