Mrs. Pepper Pot (Japaneseスプーン おばさんSupun Oba - san, German literally " Aunt spoon ") is an anime television series from 1983 is based on the children's book Little Old Mrs. Pepperpot of the Norwegian author Alf Prøysen. .
Action
The elderly lady woman pepper pot lives with her husband, a painter, in a small village. Whenever Mrs. Pepper Pot sneezes, they shrink to the size of a teaspoon. Such she wears around the neck and drags him if it is small, behind him. In her little figure she can talk to animals and therefore makes friends with these. She will also meet in the woods the girl Lily with which they experienced some adventure.
However, she is looking for her husband whenever she has shrunk, and she tries to sneeze to grow again. Also, they may show up in their small form no stranger.
Publications
Mrs. Pepper Pot in 1983 produced by Gakken and animated by Studio Pierrot. The series includes 50 episodes. It was directed by Tatsuo Hayakawa, the character design is by Koji Nantsuka. The artistic direction took Mitsuki Nakamura. The broadcast of the series took place on April 4, 1983 to March 9, 1984 to the NHK.
The anime was aired including in the USA, France, Netherlands, Hungary, Norway, Italy and Poland and translated in Arabic and Spanish. On German television, the series was broadcast in 1995 on RTL II.
