The Mikhail Kalinin (Russian: Михаил Калинин, German spelling: Mikhail Kalinin ) was a cruise ship in the Soviet government Baltic shipping company and was founded in 1958 as a line ship at the shipyard at VEB Mathias -Thesen -Werft Wismar in Wismar in the GDR for the state Baltijskoje Morskoje Parochodstwo ( ГП Балтийское морское пароходство ММФ СССР ) built in Leningrad ( Soviet Union). It belongs to Mikhail Kalinin - class Project 101, German designation Seefa 340 - Seefahrgastschiff for 340 passengers. The ship bears the name of Soviet politician Mikhail Kalinin and was the lead ship of the name of the whole class.

Description

The ship under construction number 101 was built for the Soviet Union in 1958 in the GDR and placed in the same year at the Seereederei in Leningrad on the line Leningrad - Stockholm service. It belongs to a manufactured 1958-1964 series of 19 ships. In 1994 it was sold to dropouts in Alang, where it arrived on 6 November for scrapping.

Equipment

All 1 -, 2 -, 3 -, 4 -, and 6- bed cabins on four decks were fitted as part of the modernization with shower and toilet. Above and beyond were the music room and dance floor, bar, kiosk, Swimming pool located, library, hospital, service room and cabin for both mother and child are available.
