Mumford & Sons are a British folk-rock band.

Band History

The band around singer and guitarist Marcus Mumford found in 2007 in London and earned within a year so much popularity in the folk scene that she was allowed to perform at the Glastonbury Festival 2008. They also released several EPs and was recorded by the BBC in the list of hopefuls for 2009 ( BBC Sound of 2009).

Equipped with a contract with Iceland Records, they released their debut album in October 2009, Sigh No More, which was created with the assistance of producer Markus Dravs and first managed to number 7 in the UK charts. It became a perennial, reaching more than a year later with space 2 its peak position. The first single Little Lion Man and the second single Winter Winds were also chart hits.

Little Lion Man was elected with more than 800,000 votes as " Hottest Track of 2009" at Triple J 's Hottest 100 countdown on Australia, which is considered the largest Musikpoll world. Mumford & Sons won the 2013 BRIT Award for British Group. In the Echo Awards 2013, it won in the category group Rock / Pop International.
