Mumm- Ra was an English indie rock band from Bexhill -on-Sea. Niall Buckler she founded in 2000 at the age of fourteen years. The name comes from the villain " Mumm- Ra the Ever -Living " (Eng. Mumion ) from the series ThunderCats.

History

The band came after several self-released EPs and performances as the opening act for The Kooks and Kaiser Chiefs to a certain prominence when they took part in the NME Awards Indie Rock Tour 2007. On 28 May 2007, she published her then album These Things Move In Threes the record label Columbia Records. There were three single releases, Out Of the Question, What Would Steve Do? and She's Got You High. As a fourth single Starlight should be published, but this never happened. From 2006 to 2008, the band made ​​appearances at several festivals, including the Southside Festival in Germany, and toured the UK and Japan. They also played songs that were on a second studio album to be released. Before it came to such an extent, the band split but on 17 April 2008 with a message on her MySpace page. New and Arguile play today in the band Mirrors, keyboardist Tommy is active during live performances of the band White Lies.
