Muradiye (Armenian Բերկրի; Kurdish: Bêgirî ) is a town and a district in Turkey. It belongs to the province of Van in eastern Anatolia and lies. Muradiye is located in the north of the province, bordering the province of Ağrı. The district has 51 460 inhabitants Muradiye, the city 14,267 (as of 2011 ).

During an earthquake on 24 November 1976 with the 7.6 magnitude existed in Eastern Anatolia up to 3790 deaths. The city was largely destroyed Muradiye.
