Murder One is an American crime series of the ABC Networks from the year 1995.

The series includes two seasons. The first season is completely out of the murder of Jessica Costello. Therefore, the series was in Germany subtitled "The Case of Jessica " and aired from VOX. The second season aired from February 29, 2000 by ProSieben. It contained three murder cases.

In the first season Daniel Benzali plays the defender Theodore ( Ted ) Hoffman. Despite awards and good reviews, the series remained below expectations the U.S. transmitter, so that the main character was replaced in the second season by Anthony LaPaglia, who embodied the ex- Attorney Jimmy Wyler. An additional concept change, instead of a case to show more, did not bring the desired result, so that the series was eventually close.

The series has been honored with several awards, including an Emmy Award and a BAFTA Award.
