Mary McCormack

Mary Catherine McCormack ( born February 8, 1969 in Plainfield, New Jersey ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

McCormack graduated 1987, the Wardlaw - Hartridge School in Edison, New Jersey. She then studied English literature and painting at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She has appeared as a twelve year old child in the opera Amahl and the Night Visitors. In 1994 she starred in an episode of the television series Law & Order. From 1995 to 1997 she played in the television series Murder One - The case of Jessica.

Acting Career

McCormack starred in the comedy Heels and Low Lifes (2001) the role of Frances, her friend and accomplice of Shannon ( Minnie Driver ). In the science fiction drama K -PAX (2001), she took one of the major roles alongside Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. For her role in the television series The West Wing - The West Wing, she was nominated as a member of the actor ensemble for the Screen Actors Guild Award in 2005 and 2006. From 2008 to 2012 McCormack played the lead role of Mary Shannon in the drama series In Plain Sight - In the line of fire of the U.S. cable channel USA Network. They also had a guest appearance as Mary Shannon in Criminal Intent - Criminal Intent.

McCormack is married to Michael Morris since 2003 and has three daughters.
