Music Box (TV channel)

Music Box was the first pan-European 24 -hour music channel which was broadcast across Europe from London by Eutelsat1 -F1 satellite. There were presenters from different European countries. Operators was the Music Channel Ltd.. a joint project of THORN EMI, Virgin Group & Yorkshire Television. The transmissions began in March 1984. In West Germany the program at that time was fed into the cable television network of the German Post. The last music video that was played on January 30, 1987 Superchannel before the switchover was " Do not Give Up" by Kate Bush & Peter Gabriel.
