My System

My system is a chess textbook by Aron Nimzowitsch. Originally released over a series of five brochures from 1925 to 1927, were in the book - one of the early work on hypermodern chess - introduced numerous, then new concepts. Many chess masters of the last century described the work as an important milestone in their own development.

The book is divided into three parts, The Elements, Position Play and several sample games.

Throughout the book are shown in the chapters match game fragments, commented by the author and adapted in later editions by different publishers if necessary the current state of chess theory.

  • The original was published in 1925 by Nimzowitsch in German.
  • 1930 book by Philip Hereford was translated into English as My System.
  • In 1987, B. T Batsford Ltd. Version Philip Herefords were again under the name " My System " A Chess Treatise by Aron Nimzowitsch ' out (ISBN 0-7134-5655-8 ).
  • 2009 of Rattmann My system again in German published (ISBN 3-88086 -117 X).
