Myriam Bru

Myriam Bru ( born April 20, 1930 in Paris) is a French actress.

Myriam Bru is a Jewish French woman, whose father was murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp by the Nazis. Her first film role, she received a 1952 biographical film about the life of Giacomo Puccini. She was then seen in some Italian and French productions. In 1958 she played the leading role in German production resurrection on a story by Leo Tolstoy, directed by Rolf Hansen. The male lead has held Horst Buchholz. After the shooting the two were a couple and were married later that year in London. In 1959 she turned her last film in Italy at the side of Anna Magnani: Nella città l' inferno by Renato Castellani. After she retired into private life. With Horst Buchholz she has two children ( Christopher Buchholz and Beatrice Buchholz). She remained married to the German actor, even though they lived apart since his move from Paris to Berlin to Horst Buchholz's life. Today Myriam Bru performs a casting agency in Paris.
