Nabesna Road

The Nabesna Road is a 68 km long gravel road at the headwaters of the Copper River in the Valdez - Cordova Census Area, Alaska. It combines Slana the Tok Cut -Off with Nabesna in the Wrangell-St Elias National Park. In addition to the McCarthy Road is one of two roads leading into the park.

The mountain ranges Wrangell Mountains, Mountains and Mentasta Nutzotin Mountains surround the road.

The road was built in 1933 by the Alaska Road Commission to supply the mine at Nabesna and to transport the mined ore. Today it is maintained by the Alaska Department of Transportation.
