Náchod District

The Okres Náchod ( German district Nachod ) located in the Czech Republic in the northeast of Hradec Kralove Region ( Hradec Králové region ) between the Giant Mountains ( Krkonoše) and the eagle Krkonoše (Giant Mountains ). The lowest point is 220, the highest at 880 above sea level. M. With 852 km ² it is the smallest district in the region of residence of 112,000 inhabitants. 62 % of the land can be used for agriculture, forests occupy about a quarter of the area. In the district there are 78 municipalities, ten of which are cities.
