Nampalys Mendy

Nampalys Mendy ( born June 23, 1992 La Seyne -sur -Mer ) is a French football player whose parents are from Senegal. He is the cousin of Bafetimbi Gomis and also born in the same city. Because of his stature and playing style it is compared, at least since his time in Monaco from coaches and journalists with the former French star player Claude Makélélé.

Club career

AS Monaco

During his youth Nampalys Mendy played for several clubs in Toulon, the neighboring town of his birthplace La Seyne -sur -Mer. In the youth of Sporting Toulon he was in 2007, discovered by Christophe Didier, a former French international and tätigem at this time for the AS Monaco scout and committed to their youth team.
