National anthem of Paraguay

Paraguayos, República o muerte ( " Paraguayan Republic or Death") is the national anthem of Paraguay, text by Francisco Acuña de Figueroa ( 1791-1862 ), music by Remberto Giménez ( 1898-1977 ).

Quintessence of the text is its independence from the Spanish crown, which gained Paraguay on 14 May 1811.
