Navrang is a Hindi film directed by V. Shantaram from the year 1959.

Action

Diwakar is a poet and loves his wife Jamuna about everything. But Jamuna does not agree that Diwakar sheer poetry lives in a fantasy world and the real world perceives less and less. Diwakar even goes so far as to a fantasy woman in his wife's body creates itself, which he calls Mohini.

Diwakar is soon to become a recognized poet and Jamuna gives birth to a boy. But luck does not take long to: Diwakar loses his job because of a critical Hetzsongs against the British. Now he can keep his ailing father is unable to provide any more than his son, who is starving. This all makes Jamuna angry, but especially Diwakars growing obsession of Mohini.

As Jamuna decides to live apart from Diwakar, this is internally destroyed and no longer able to write poetry. Slowly Jamuna understands that she can not live without Diwakar and forgives him.
