Nêdong County

Nedong ( Tib: sne gdong rdzong, Tibetan: སྣེ་གདོང་རྫོང, also: Nedong ) is a county in the district of Shannan the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 2184.98 square kilometers, and according to the 1990 census, 45 173 inhabitants, of whom 41,450 Tibetans and Han Chinese 3,567 ( census 2000: 58 808 inhabitants).

Nedong are, inter alia, to the monasteries Thradrug and Keru Lhakhang and the fortress Yumbu Lagang.

Seat of the district government and the government of the district of the greater community Zêtang.
