Negură Bunget

Negură Bunget is a metal band from Romania.

Band History

The band was founded in Timişoara of Hupogrammos 's Disciple (vocals, guitars) and Negru (drums ) under the name Wiccan Rede early 1995. After she had the first demo From Transilvanian Forests published as Wiccan Rede, the band changed the name to Negură Bunget, which means on old Romanian means " Misty Forest ".

In June 1995 Negură Bunget had her first appearance in Buzău. The first album, Zîrnindu - să was recorded in October 1996 and published in late 1996 by Bestial Records. In December 1998 Negură Bunget released an EP called Sala Molksa. The album was recorded from June to August in 1998 and also published by Bestial Records. Together with the third official member, Spurcatu, the five tracks on the album proved a more complex, more aggressive sound.

After that, the band toured throughout Europe with the 2000 release of the album Maiastru Sfetnic. Maiastru Sfetnic also led to a three - album deal with the Italian label code666 records. In June 2002 the band entered the studio again to record their fourth album, 'N Crugu Bradului. The four songs on the album represent the four seasons. 2005, limited to 734 units EP Înarborat cosmos came into the stores. After several months of waiting, finally the album OM was published in 2006, which was retrospectively selected from the UK music magazine Terrorizer 's sixth best album of the decade 2000-2009.

The end of September 2007 it was announced before the expiry of the contract with Code666 signing a new contract at Prophecy Productions sub-label Lupus Lounge. During their European tour in 2008 the band was accused of a nationalist or National Socialism related convictions, which called Emiliano Lanzoni of Code666 as ridiculous. Negură Bunget stand for humanity, nature and emotions and have never supported Nazi and fascist organizations; on the side of the band find themselves since 2002 an official statement in this regard. Lupus Lounge published the end of 2008 editions of From Transilvanian Forests, Zîrnindu - să (incl. Bonus CD), Sala Molksa (incl. Bonus CD) and Maiastru Sfetnic as well as a limited edition collector's box containing these albums. In March 2010, also appeared on lupus lounge with Maiestrit a reinterpretation of Maiastru Sfetnic and on Code666 Virstele Pamintului, the only new compositions containing follow-up album to OM.

Style

As a Wiccan Rede oriented the band at the symphonic Black Metal, on Zîrnindu - să they kept this style for the most part. Over the years, the band's music became increasingly complex and progressive. The symphonic elements disappeared in favor of a quiet keyboard passages, natural sounds, folk sounds and percussion.

The band is committed to the Black Metal ethos connected, as it perceives this as a path of spiritual search, due to lack of satanic texts themselves is not, however, be assigned to the Black Metal. Wolf -Rüdiger Mühlmann from Rock Hard assigns the band to the Pagan Metal, but it has little to say pagan themes, but is more focused on nature mysticism. One of their albums is titled Virstele Pamintului (Romanian, age of the earth '), as the band dealt with this on the various levels of reality over time and their compounds, among others, by nature and tradition. Of fundamental importance for the band are a spiritual, esoteric and historical element, and within that other elements such as nature and folklore. The mixture of the two main elements is referred to by the band as its ideology, as their music is a reflection of their ideas " and not vice versa," as emphasized Negru. As one of the most important concepts for them, the band called Transylvanian spirituality, of which it summarizes a complex of gathered over thousands of years in their country practices and beliefs. When their essence they called immortality, blood and wisdom.
