Nelson López

Nelson Juan López (born 24 June 1941 in Argentina ) is a former Argentine football player, who participated with the national team of his native country at the World Cup 1966.

Career

Nelson López, born in 1941, began playing football at CA River Plate in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires. In 1961 he was taken there in the first team of the Argentine Nobel association. However, in a team led by stars like Ermindo Onega, Amadeo Carrizo and José Varacka to López could not prevail, and made just seven league games in La Liga season 1961. Subsequently, he moved in 1962 to league rivals Rosario Central, where, however, he was hardly the course and also made ​​only two league games and after only one year in the third largest city of Argentina to Brazil went to SC Internacional of Porto Alegre.
