Netherby is located in the Borough of Harrogate, 4,8 km south-west of Sickling Hall, a village in North Yorkshire (England).
In the village there is the Roman Catholic St. Joseph Church, Pannal the Church of the Church of England, Jewish Chaim Synagogue and a few other places of worship.
On a consecration inscription found in Netherby the name of the Celtic deity Veteris is named along with Mogon. Veteris is noted in the area of Hadrian's rampart in a total of 50 inscriptions from the Romano- British period.
