Neuenhofe is a municipality in the district of West Heath Borde in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Neuenhofe is located approximately 27 kilometers north of the state capital Magdeburg. To the northeast of the village, with the Zackelberg the highest elevation of Colbitz - Letzlinger Heath. South of the village is the ear and the village Hillersleben.

History

Neuenhofe originated over 800 years ago from the new court of the monastery Hillersleben on which the sheep of the monastery were housed.

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Neuenhofe, Born and Hillersleben merged to form the new municipality of West Heath.

Mayor

The honorary mayor Hartmut Jahn was initially since 2 February 2005 at the office and resigned on 1 October 2006. From October 2006 to the community of Sabine Heeger ( Deputy Mayor ) was conducted officiating.
