New Canaan is a town in Fairfield County in the U.S. state of Connecticut, with 19,738 inhabitants ( 2010). The metropolitan area has a size of 58 km ².
New Canaan is one of the wealthiest communities in the United States. In the CNN Money ranking 2011 New Canaan in 8th place in the U.S. cities with the highest income.
The transport links are the Merritt Parkway and Metro-North Railroad.
