New Holstein is located between Lake Winnebago and Lake Michigan. The village is located 102 kilometers north of Milwaukee and 420 kilometers east of Minneapolis. The city has an area of 6 square kilometers without significant water surface. Neighboring municipalities are Kiel and Chilton.
