The Newcastle Eagles are a professional basketball team based in Newcastle upon Tyne in England. The Eagles were originally founded in 1976 in Washington ( Tyne and Wear ) at Sunderland and remained until 1995 in Sunderland, where they played for a long time as Sunderland Saints.
