NGC 1808

NGC 1808 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation pigeon, which is about 40 million light -years away from Earth. NGC 1808 has a brightness of 9.9 mag and an angular extent of 7.1 ' x 3.2 ' arc minutes. NGC 1808 is a starburst galaxy with intense star formation in its central area.

NGC 1808 was discovered on 20 May 1826 by James Dunlop.
