NGC 1850

NGC 1850 is the name for an extremely young blue globular clusters, which is with the Large Magellanic Cloud in the constellation associated swordfish. Its age is estimated at about 50 million years, and that he belongs to a class of object that does not exist in our Milky Way. The actual globular cluster NGC 1850A has a diameter of 3.4 " and an apparent magnitude of 9.30 mag. In the outer region of the cluster, there is a striking compaction of young stars of spectral type O and B (in the bottom right corner to see the picture) called NGC 1850B, whose age is estimated at only 4 million years.
