NGC 2683

NGC 2683 is an edge -on spiral galaxy in the constellation Lynx with an angular extent of 9.3 × 2.2 arcmin and a brightness of 9.7 mag. NGC 2683 is sometimes called the "UFO Galaxy ".

NGC 2683 was discovered on February 5, 1788 by the German - British astronomer William Herschel.
