NGC 4027

NGC 4027 (also known as Arp 22) away is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Rabe, about 83 million light-years. NGC 4027 has a particular shape, since one of the spiral arms is more pronounced than the other. The cause of a collision with another galaxy in the past of NGC 4027 is suspected.

Surroundings

NGC 4027 is part of the NGC 4038 group, a group of galaxies NGC 4038 and NGC 4039 also contains the Antennae Galaxies.
