NGC 6217

NGC 6217 is the name of a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Minor. It has an angular extent of 3.1 '× 2.6 ' and an apparent magnitude of 11.0 mag. NGC 6217 was discovered on 12 December 1797 by the German - British astronomer William Herschel.
