Nick Dyson

Nick Dyson ( born December 19, 1969 in Hessle, Hull) is an English snooker player.

Career

Dyson gained professional status in 1989 and reached the finals for the first time in 1991 Snooker World Championship. He defeated in the qualifiers, among other ex-world champion Cliff Thorburn. In the Crucible Theatre, however, he lost in his first match Ken Doherty with 3:10. In the following years, however, his results were declining, so he gradually fell back from his time between 60th place in the Snooker world rankings in the 1991/92 season until the 1999/2000 season for the first time fell out of the top 128.

This changed, however, when he qualified in 2001 for a second time for the snooker World Cup. Although he lost his opening match there again - this time with 7:10 to Jimmy White - but in the world rankings it was for him up again, where he spent four seasons in succession was in the Top64. However, in the season 2006/ 07 he fell back significantly and missed the qualifier for the following Main Tour season.

As one of only very few players reach him at official tournaments two maximum Breaks: 1999 on the UK Tour and 2000 at the UK Championship.

In addition to the World Championships of 1991 and 2001 it reached a total of six other World Ranking Tournament finals, further success came from though.
