Nick Saban

Nicholas Lou Saban ( born October 31, 1951 in Fairmont, West Virginia) is an American professional American football coach who coached the college football team of the University of Alabama since January 2007.

He began his career as a player at Kent State University, where he played from 1970 to 1972 as a defensive back. He then worked as an assistant coach until 1989 in various college teams. In 1990, he finally looked after with the University of Toledo 's first team as head coach. After only one year, he moved to the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League ( NFL), there to act as a defensive coordinator. Between 1995 and 1999 he coached a college team again - the Michigan State University. In 2000 he went for four years to Louisiana State University ( LSU ).
