Nico Perrone
Nicola Carlo Perrone (* April 27, 1935 in Bari, Italy ) is an essayist, historian of 18th and 20th century and journalist.
Life
Perrone is since 1977 Professor of History and American History at the University of Bari. He was in 1991 a visiting professor at the University of Roskilde in Denmark and the Copenhagen Business School (1992 and 1993) and the University of Copenhagen ( 2003). As a guest professor at the University of Padua had Perrone in 1981 and 1999. Perrone was appointed in 1986 an honorary citizen of the U.S. state of Nebraska.
Perrone was 1982-2006 freelancer of public service television broadcasting in Italy ( RAI), various newspapers and magazines, and in 2001 the West German Radio. From 2005 he was editor of the journal Storia in Rete, and from 1980 to 1984 editor of America ( Dedalo publisher), a series of books about the United States.
