Nicolas Escudé

Nicolas Jean- Christophe Escudé ( born April 3, 1976 in Chartres ) is a former French tennis player. He gave his resignation on 18 May 2006 due to a persistent shoulder injury that had prevented him from 22 months on the game known.

Career

He won four individual titles in his career in Toulouse, Rotterdam (2001 and 2002) and Doha and two doubles titles in 2002 in Marseille and Paris. To this end, he reached in the same year the singles final in Marseille which he lost to Thomas Enqvist with 6:7, 6:3 and 6:1, and in 2000 the final of 's- Hertogenbosch, which he with 6:1 and 6:3 lost to Patrick Rafter. Following this, he reached his highest world ranking position with 17th place

Escudé worked with Tarik Benhabiles together as a coach.

Normally Escudé is a lefty. In his childhood he playing tennis but was taught with the right. He is the older brother of football player Julien Escude.
