Qatar Open (tennis)
The Qatar ExxonMobil Open is a tennis tournament and since 1993 in Doha, Qatar, played on Hard Court. It takes place every year in January and is traditionally one of the ATP competitions with which the season opens. Since the tournament will be held two weeks before the Australian Open and played on the same surface as in Melbourne, the event is considered very good preparation for the first Grand Slam tournament of the year. The Qatar Open is part of the ATP World Tour 250 and with over a million dollars in prize money, the tournament bestdotierte the series.
The game is played at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in which between 2008 and 2010 and the WTA Tour Championships were held. Record winner in the individual with three titles, Roger Federer, in a double, Mark Knowles and Rafael Nadal with three titles, the record winner.
