Nicolet, Quebec

Nicolet is a city ( ville) and capital of the MRC Nicolet - Yamaska in the south of the Canadian province of Quebec. In addition, it hosts the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nicolet.

The town, 15 km southwest of Trois- Rivières, near the mouth of Rivière Nicolet located in the St. Lawrence River, named after the French explorer Jean Nicolet.
