History

His first mention leads Niedercunnersdorf as well as the neighboring community Obercunnersdorf back to a deed of 1221.

Ottenhain was first mentioned in 1317. On 1 January 1999 the place was incorporated into the former rural community. Before incorporation into the new community Kottmar, Niedercunnersdorf formed the administrative community with Obercunnersdorf.
