Niederneukirchen

Niederneukirchen is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Linz-Land with 1935 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The church was originally part of the judicial district Enns, since 1 January 2014, the community is part of the judicial district of Steyr.

Geography

Niederneukirchen is located on 336 m height in the Upper Austrian central area, about 25 km outside of Linz. The expansion is 6.9 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.2 km. The total area is 20.85 km ². 10% of the area is forested, 80.4 % of the area is used for agriculture. The municipal area is crossed by several small streams; the most important is the Ipfbach.

Katastralgemeinden are Dörfl, Green Brunn, Niederneukirchen and Ruprechtshofen. Quarters are Au, Obere Au, Obereglsee, Untereglsee, web Graben, Upper Green Brunn, Ipftal.

History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. In 1991 the municipality had 1,562 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 1780 inhabitants. In 2010, 1,902 inhabitants of the place.
