Niklas Eriksson

Niklas Eriksson ( born February 17, 1969 in Västervik ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player who played for Leksand IF in the Elitserien mainly in its active period from 1987 to 2007 and finished his career with HC Val Pusteria in the Serie A1.

Career

Niklas Eriksson began his career as a hockey player in his youth from Leksand IF, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien in the season 1987/88. In his rookie year he scoring in 18 games nine points scorer, including a goal. In the following 17 years, the winger played with the exception of the 1996/97 season, in which he stood with HIFK Helsinki of the Finnish SM- liiga under contract, exclusively for Leksand. With its team of the Olympic champion in 1994 reached each direct re-emergence from the HockeyAllsvenskan in Sweden's top flight for the seasons 2001/ 02 and 2004/ 05.

His career ended Eriksson in the Italian Serie A in which he stood from 2005 to 2007 for the HC Val Pusteria on the ice.

Internationally

For Sweden, Eriksson took part in the U20 World Junior Championships in 1987 and 1989. In addition, he was in the squad of Sweden at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.
