Niland is a village in Imperial County in the U.S. state of California. Niland is located at the Salton Sea near the border with Riverside County. According to the prior census in 2010 Niland had 1006 inhabitants. Ten years ago there were still 1143. The city covers an area of 1.1 square kilometers. The place is located at the California State Route 111

The site forms the northern end of the intensive agricultural Imperial Valley between the Salton Sea and the Chocolate Mountains to the east. Southeast begin the Algodones Dunes, the rich and the Imperial Valley to the Mexican border.
