Nippon Telegraph and Telephone

The company NTT (Japanese日本 电信 电话 株式会社, Nippon Denwa Kabushiki - Denshin gaisha ), listed on the Nikkei 225 in Japan is the market leader among telecommunications companies. NTT is Nippon Telegraph and Telephone. The former state-owned company founded in 1952, was privatized on 1 August 1985. Headquartered in Tokyo.

Since February 3, 2004 NTT is a member of the Open Source Development Labs.

On February 18, 2005, NTT has presented a technique that uses the human body to transmit data. The "Human Area Network" is to be developed as a complement to Bluetooth and Wireless LAN and enable data transmission over short distances with bandwidths of up to ten megabits / s.

On 23 October 2007, the subsidiary NTT Data has announced a tender offer for itelligence AG. End of September 2008 took over the NTT Data 72.9 percent of the shares in Cirquent GmbH. On January 7, 2010 NTT Com acquires shares in goFLUENT group.

NTT Communications

The subsidiary NTT Communications has about 7,500 employees, the largest data network operator in the world. Based on ATM technology uses NTT Communications to various services such as MPLS, FR ( Frame Relay ), LL (Leased Line). NTT Communications also operates the largest carrier TIER1 their own Global IP Network ( GIN) with the world's first and successful introduction of IPv6. My research centers are constantly working on ideas and solutions for data networks and data transmission of the future. Headquartered in Tokyo also with other local headquarters in London for Europe and New York for North and South America.
